Fantastic Symphony & Wiesner & Iwasaki

The Pilsen Philharmonic, conducted by Chuhei Iwasaki, presents an exciting program that combines masterful works filled with energy, virtuosity, and dramatic expression. The evening opens with The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Dukas, a famous symphonic scherzo that takes listeners into a world of magic and unexpected twists. Next, we hear Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 14 by Nikolai Kapustin, a work blending jazzy rhythms with classical form, featuring the talented pianist Daniel Wiesner. The evening concludes with Hector Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique, Op. 14, a powerful musical portrayal of the artist’s life, filled with passion, illusions, and dramatic contrasts.
