The internationally formed Integra Quartet presents a powerful program of three landmark string quartets, spanning three centuries and reflecting the distinct musical languages of three cultures — from Classical elegance to emotional intensity and modernist complexity.
The evening opens with Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet in C Major, Op. 33 No. 3, known as “The Bird” for its playful motifs and light, conversational character. It is followed by Leoš Janáček’s dramatic String Quartet No. 1, inspired by Tolstoy’s Kreutzer Sonata, a work that captures deep psychological conflict and passion in an intensely personal musical language. The program concludes with Béla Bartók’s String Quartet No. 6, a masterful and emotionally charged work, rich in rhythmic and harmonic invention — the final quartet he composed before his death.
Integra Quartet invites you to a captivating and stylistically diverse evening that will resonate with both seasoned listeners and adventurous newcomers.
