Trumpeter Jiří Houdek joins the Collegium of the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra under the artistic direction of Pavel Sochůrek for an evening dedicated to the brilliance and elegance of Baroque music. The program features iconic works that continue to inspire with their majesty, melodic richness, and rhythmic vitality.

The concert opens with the festive Te Deum in D Major by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, whose famous prelude is known worldwide. This is followed by instrumental gems such as Jan Zach’s Sinfonia No. 2 in A Major, Handel’s sparkling Suite for Trumpet and Strings, and Johann Sebastian Bach’s energetic Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and lyrical Air from the Orchestral Suite No. 3. The program also includes Antonio Vivaldi’s vivid Sinfonia in G Major and his Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra in B-flat Major, as well as Pachelbel’s beloved Canon in D.
