In the stunning setting of Pilsen’s St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral, masterpieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and George Frideric Handel will be brought to life by the Pilsen Philharmonic under the baton of Chuhei Iwasaki. The evening begins with the vibrant overture to Mozart’s opera Cosi fan tutte and culminates in the iconic Eine kleine Nachtmusik, one of the most beloved works of the classical era.
The program also features a selection of Handel’s sacred and secular pieces – from powerful arias from oratorios such as Theodora, Saul, La resurrezione, and Messiah, to the celebratory ode Alexander’s Feast, the motet Silete venti, and the cantata Aminta e Fillide. Sopranos Eva Blažková and Petra Musilová will bring emotional depth to Handel’s music, promising a unique and moving concert experience.
