The Pilsen Philharmonic, conducted by Jan Schultsz, presents an evening filled with romantic melodies and virtuosic performances. Next, we will hear Camille Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1 in A minor, Op. 33, a work celebrated for its brilliant technique and captivating melodies, with the outstanding cellist Luka Coetzee as the soloist. The evening will conclude with Zdeněk Fibich’s Symphony No. 1 in F major, Op. 17, a piece that celebrates national romanticism and formal beauty.
