An evening of chamber music at the House of Music will bring together the acclaimed Sojka Quartet and pianist Štěpán Kos for a richly varied program that spans three centuries of musical expression.
The concert opens with the String Quartet in B-flat Major by Antonín Kammel, a lesser-known 18th-century Czech composer whose work delights with elegance and inventiveness. It continues with the emotionally charged and rhythmically vibrant String Quartet No. 8 "Das Wirbel-Quartett" by contemporary German composer Roland Leistner-Mayer. The highlight of the evening will be Antonín Dvořák’s beloved Piano Quintet in A Major, Op. 81 – a masterpiece of Czech chamber music, blending folk influences with lyrical depth.
Join us for an evening full of musical color and emotion, performed by some of the finest Czech musicians.
