Měšťanská beseda
The Pilsen Philharmonic, under the baton of the charismatic Spanish conductor José María Moreno, invites you to an evening ablaze with fiery passion, vibrant rhythms, and the colors of Iberian music. The Viva España! program opens with the overture to El tambor de granaderos by Ruperto Chapí, brimming with energy and lightness. The centerpiece is Joaquín Rodrigo’s iconic Concierto de Aranjuez, performed by the outstanding guitarist Daniel Daniu—a jewel of Spanish music, celebrated for its lyrical beauty and rhythmic vitality. The evening continues with selections from Georges Bizet’s Carmen Suite No. 1, where French elegance meets Andalusian drama and passion. The finale, Manuel de Falla’s El amor brujo (ballet suite), brings a touch of mysticism, flamenco flair, and the haunting spirit of Spanish folklore to the stage.
